Tambov's Pigment won the All-Russian competition "Business Flagships: Dynamics, Responsibility, Sustainability - 2024", which is held annually by the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. The best import substitution project was the investment program for expanding the production capacity of acrylic dispersions for various industries. The award ceremony took place on May 26 in Moscow as part of the Day of Russian Entrepreneurship. Oleg Podobryansky, Deputy General Director of KRATA Management Company, received a commemorative award from Pigment.
Annually since 1997 the competition has been held by the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs to reward the most dynamically developing companies. In 2025, 200 large national companies applied to participate in the competition. When determining the winners, not only economic indicators are assessed, but also social and environmental ones. Import substitution projects, advanced technologies, investment volumes, as well as the impact on related sectors of the economy and improving the quality of life of the population are assessed.
Let us recall that acrylic dispersions are one of the strategic areas of JSC Pigment. The company produces binders under the trade name "AKRATAM". The products are used in the paint and varnish, fiberglass and paper industries. This product line is included in the Ministry of Industry and Trade's import substitution plan and is export-oriented.
It is worth noting that this is the sixth victory of the Tambov enterprise in the prestigious competition, which is undoubtedly the evidence of the large-scale contribution of the enterprise to the national economy. JSC Pigment is one of the leaders of industry in the Tambov region and the main exporter of the region. The chemical plant is among the 100 largest dynamically developing companies in Russia. The company's production volumes are growing annually. Thus, according to the results of last year, Pigment produced 230 thousand tons of products for various sectors of the national economy worth more than 25 billion rubles. More than 3.8 billion rubles were allocated for the implementation of large-scale investment projects.
