On September 10, Valery Falkov, head of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, held a working meeting with acting head of the Tambov Region Yevgeny Pervyshov. At the meeting, they discussed priority tasks for the development of higher education in the region. The minister noted that it is important to define a comprehensive program for supporting universities and strengthen the role of the regional government in this area.
As part of his visit, Valery Falkov visited TSU named after G.R. Derzhavin. At the presentation of technological projects, which took place in the coworking space of the university, the minister learned about the developments of scientists from Tambov State University for the development of the chemical industry and bioeconomy.
Irina Pankova, Head of the Personnel Development Department of JSC Pigment, acted as the university's industrial partner at the meeting. She told the minister about the company's cooperation with Derzhavin University in the field of scientific developments, and also shared information about successfully implemented projects related to early profiling of schoolchildren.
Let us recall that, together with TSU named after G.R. Derzhavin, JSC Pigment has been implementing such career guidance projects for schoolchildren as the Chemistry Olympiad, Research Projects Competition, annual scientific and practical conference, and the Best Chemistry Teacher competition for teachers for the past 6 years. In addition, the university students are regular participants in the Scholarship Corporate Program, and the university has a basic department of High-Molecular Chemistry.
Thus, the company manages to combine the interests of large businesses and the education system, achieving the desired result – motivated and trained young specialists.
