JSC Pigment has released its first social report on its official website, titled "Chemistry for Good," on the company's contribution to regional development through 2024.
The "Chemistry for Good" program is a comprehensive initiative of the Pigment plant aimed at creating a favorable social environment in the Tambov region and developing the region.
JSC Pigment tops the list of systemically important enterprises in the regional economy and is one of the main employers and taxpayers in the Tambov Region. For the company, the Tambov Region is the home of its employees and their families, so the company considers it important to address budgetary security issues, finance social infrastructure projects, improve the city, support science and education, develop culture and sports, care for veterans and the disabled, and reduce its environmental impact in the Tambov Region.
"When a city is comfortable to live in, people want to work and develop there. Understanding this and adhering to the principles of sustainable development, Pigment JSC places great emphasis not only on investing in production and developing advanced technologies but also on creating a favorable social environment, improving recreational areas, and fostering conditions for the development and education of children and young people in the region where the chemical plant operates. The publication of our first social report is a major and significant step for us. We want to provide all stakeholders with the opportunity to become familiar not only with the chemical plant's financial performance but also with its social indicators," commented Irina Kosareva, Head of the ESG Project Office.
