The RAEX rating agency has released the final ESG ranking, which presents companies that have been assessed as of the end of 2024. The updated list includes 144 participants: 128 companies from Russia, 14 from Kazakhstan, 2 from Mongolia. The Tambov company Pigment took 35th place.
It is worth noting that the assessment was carried out according to the updated methodology published in the spring of 2024. To form the ranking, RAEX analysts studied exclusively public data of companies, taking into account the specifics of their activities. The industry structure of the ranking is largely represented by companies in the mining and metallurgy industry, banks, integrated oil and gas companies, enterprises in the electric power and chemical industries.
Based on the results of the study, the agency's analysts noted an increase in the average score for industry assessments, as well as average scores for individual factors E (environment), S (society) and G (corporate governance). This is due, on the one hand, to the expansion of the range of indicator assessments, which allowed for a more subtle and high-quality assessment of companies' initiatives, and on the other hand, to a more rigorous approach to including participants in the ranking, which allowed for the elimination of companies with obviously low indicators of activity in the field of sustainable development.
The Tambov company Pigment was among the top three leaders in factor S (social responsibility), in factor E (ecology) it took 42nd place, and in factor G (management) it took 81st place.
