On April 23, the RAEX rating agency prepared a new ESG study and compiled a top 30 list of companies by the quality of personnel management. As part of the study, the agency's analysts examined such indicators as health and safety, attracting and retaining talent, diversity and inclusion, social benefits, and human rights.
Based on the results of the personnel management quality assessment, the companies were divided into 5 categories. Three participants in the list received the highest score: Pigment, ALROSA and PhosAgro (80-100 points – very high level of management quality).
It is worth noting that the study was based on data from 132 companies from the RAEX ESG ranking. To prepare the materials, analysts studied the companies' strategic documents and objective indicators, such as the level of injuries and staff turnover, and also assessed personnel risks. The published list of leaders included the top two categories - companies with scores of 60 points and above.
The study found that the absolute priority for any company is to preserve the lives and health of employees, while diversity and inclusion projects are not among the popular practices, although these issues are of interest to companies in the railway, mining and metallurgy industries.
It should be noted that the chemical industry is the leader in adhering to key principles of personnel management, issues of personnel potential formation, adaptation and motivation. Companies in the industry provide employees with a wide social package and demonstrate positive dynamics of relative values of social payments.
— Now, when enterprises are facing a serious demographic problem, we have to solve personnel issues, especially in the context of the ongoing complex process of generational change. We have set ourselves the goal of integrating into the organizational environment of the chemical industry the employees of the enterprise who have a high level of qualification necessary for a modern enterprise, constantly developing their professional competencies, forming important qualities and skills: from socially significant diligence to in-demand "soft skills". The company's entry into the top three leaders of the ESG rating for the quality of personnel management once again proves that we are on the right track. We will continue to move forward ! - commented Irina Pankova, Head of the Personnel Development Department of Pigment JSC.
