Tambov-based Pigment, one of the largest Russian manufacturers of chemical products, published a Sustainable Development Report for 2023 on the company’s official website.
The company has been making its non-financial reporting publicly available since 2020 in full compliance with international and industry standards and is consistently increasing the quality and depth of information disclosure. The fifth non-financial report was compiled on the main aspects of the enterprise’s ESG strategy, which corresponds to the Sustainable Development Goals of the Russian Federation.
It is worth noting that, taking into account the wishes of stakeholders, the report for 2023 highlighted new areas of the company’s activities: ESG risk management, biodiversity and digital transformation of the company.
Thus, development in all three aspects of ESG helps ensure the sustainability of the company. The implementation of various environmental programs, large-scale investments in the modernization of production, and the development of innovative environmentally friendly products contribute to achieving environmental sustainability. The enterprise management model is improved every year, which leads to an increase in production volumes. Implemented social programs, both for personnel and for the population of the region of presence, are the basis for the development of the company in the Tambov region.
Let us recall that in June, Pigment JSC successfully passed the procedure for public discussion of the company’s Sustainable Development Report for 2023 in the Council for Non-Financial Reporting of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) and received a Certificate of its public certification.
“In today's realities, the sustainable development agenda not only does not lose its relevance, but, on the contrary, is increasingly gaining value in conditions of geopolitical turbulence and macroeconomic instability. For our company, sustainable development has long been no longer a separate area of activity; it is an integral part of the business itself, the support of our common sustainable future,” noted Irina Kosareva, head of the management, standardization and certification department.
