Exactly 70 years ago, in December 1952, workshop No. 5 was put into operation. It was intended for the production of diamines and sulfonic acids of the naphthalene and benzene series – intermediates for the production of direct dyes of the Derbenevsky Chemical Plant. 90% of the products were produced in the first category, with the State quality Mark – 10%. The first head of the shop was Pyotr Antonovich Kocherga, the technologist was Yuri Dmitrievich Khabarin, the mechanic was V.B. Kolyshenko. Real masters of their craft worked in the workshop – apparatchiks P.P. Groshev, B.G. Martemyanov, V.I. Mosya and many others, awarded with high awards and worthily entered into the history of JSC "Pigment"!

During its 70-year activity, Workshop No. 5 has undergone significant changes more than once. The team has made a lot of efforts to improve the quality characteristics and improve the assortment, carry out a serious modernization of production processes, upgrade equipment, and introduce new technologies.
So, the crisis of the 90s put the management of the enterprise and the workshop in front of the search for new types of products in demand on the market. In the most difficult conditions, the technical re-equipment of the workshop for the production of completely new products necessary for the construction industry begins. In 1996, the workshop produced the first ton of PF-115 white ENAMEL. And then gradually the assortment developed, enamels of various colors appeared.
To date, the Tambov enterprise produces a wide range of paint and varnish materials for industrial and construction purposes. The company's product portfolio includes more than 50 types of products in this area.
